[...] Got a chance to fondle Samsung’s latest DSLR, the GX-10. This hefty camera uses D-XENON lenses and it’s about the size and shape of the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. The body is quite heavy but this unit wasn’t taking pictures so I couldn’t get a good handle on its capabilities. We do know it’s a 10-megapixel monster 2.5″ LCD and more, post jump. * OPS (optical picture stabilization) Shake reduction with image-sensor shift mechanism * Dust-free CCD with dust removal system * Impenetrably built, resistant to water, sand, or other potentially harmful materials * Field of view 95%, bright PentaPrism viewfinder (0.95x magnification) * Brightness adjustable and wide-angle view 2.5″ TFT LCD (210K) * Raw file format support (including converting) * Continuous shooting of 3 pictures per second (up to memory full) * Support high sensitivity ISO 1600 * TTL phase-matching 11 points wide AF * TTL open-aperture 16 segment metering system [...]

[...] Canon is allegedly upgrading the EOS series to 40D on September 26th. The new camera will potentially have a 10.1-megapixel sensor, a 2.5-inch LCD and that anti-dust feature. Not much else right now, but we can assume the 30D will go down about $100 - just like with the Rebel XT - and this one will be priced at 30D levels, about $1,300. The image, BTW, is a mock-up.
[...] Yup, Canon has released another rebel. First came the Rebel. Then came Rebel XT. And now…the Rebel XTi. 10 megapixel, new CMOS sensor, 2.5 in screen, self cleaning system, and some other smaller changes. Also, it includes the Dust Delete Data Feature. It takes a picture of the image of the lens after self cleaning, and embeds this shot of the dust in the meta data of every picture taken. You can remove it later using canons software. Cool eh? Seems good enough, although, it doesnt rate a buy if you already have one… but yet more improvements on the Rebel SLR. Its 900 for the kit, 800 for the body. While the XT is 800 for the kit, and 700 for the body. Article here [...]

[...] Wow, the camera companies are going nuts today and Canon is kicking ass. Already this morning we’ve seen the release of the new Rebel XTi, aka the EOS 400D, but that’s not all they have for us this morning. Canon also just announced the release of four new printers, including one new single function photo printer and three new all-in-one printers. [...]
