In the race against Verizon for EV-DO market dominance, Sprint just nosed ahead. The company has announced that it is upgrading its EV-DO network to Rev. A and will soon be releasing cards that utilize the new implementation. Revision A cards will support download speeds averaging from 450 - 800kbps and uploads ranging from 300 - 400kbps.
The new Rev. A cards are backward compatible and will sell for $99.99 with a two year contract and $179.99 with a one year contract. I guess we can expect Verizon to make a similar move in the coming weeks.
