To make this a suitable bedside replacement of alarm clock, at least for mass apeal, I would think it needs an am/fm radio... Sure you can stream your Adam carolla from a website, but the Bill Handel fans of the world out in the cold!

Also, I dont believe it has the out-of-the box capability to play mp3s, or the hardware specs to play divx video.

[...] No, you perv, it’s not some kind of subversive keyword for something obscene… it’s a small embeded Linux platform with WiFi that acts as an alarm clock in its most simplified form, but can do so, SO much more. It has become the talk of many gadget sites and other technical blogs. It displays small flash apps called “widgets” that can do… well… anything you can possibly do with flash. games, news feeds, photo albums, animations, whatever. It runs on a 266MHz processor and has a 320×240 touch screen color display, so you’re not exactly going to be running full motion video or anything, but it is still one heck of a little platform. It’s also open, both on the hardware and software sides, making both hackable (to extend the capabilities) and craftable (so you can make it “cute” *bleh*). People are already working on more and better flash apps, and have already craft-ified it into things like Hello Kitty pillows. The price is tenatively set for $150USD when it hits in the first quarter of 2007. I will definitely have one on order. It will make a nice upgrade from the current method of displaying news feeds.
