I assume this update you speak of is the one notice I recieved in the mail from Verizon that gives the MotoQ V Cast. I downloaded it and found it extremly flawed and annoying so I deleted it within the week. Problems included it's refusal to update news, weather, inbox messages and the blue interface was childish and girly. c'mon if I wanted a crappy RAZR or other V Cast phone I'd get just that. This is supposed to be a business pda, not a toy.

I performed the update and it wasn't too bad. You have to follow the directions very carefully!!! The main issue is during the software update all of your personal data and apps will be erased. So you have to manually backup everything and re-install after the update is complete or use backup software such as Sprite backup.

I documented some tips at sprenzy.com.
