I just got my 2000t and all of my songs are skipping in iTunes, and I cant figure out why. If someone could help me out and tell me how to fix this I would really appreciate it because its driving me crazy. Thanks for the replys.

Agreed. They sell a million from people just trying it out (I’m a sucker for new cool) and then it’ll peter out. I don’t think the one price strategy is the right fit here, and I am not even sure about the “purchase” idea vs renting. Disney films could be a great investment for families with kids, but most movies I only want to see once.

I guess then you run into a bandwidth cost — how much is it costing Apple to delier this movie a what profit. A $3-5 rental might be entirely eaten up by bandwidth costs and the studio, leaving Apple odd man out.

Then again there is the iPod factor — Apple would probably give the movie away at cost if they could gaurentee that you were watching it on a iPod video.

Hmmm…Guess I’m not quite sure what I think :-)

If this list is really legit, I think it’s a poor start to the service because of the pricing, weak initial offerings, as to be confirmed quality and dvd-recording.

Many of the films are closeout already in DVD-format. I would never pay $15 for a movie like ‘Unbreakable’ or ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’…but I guess I wouldn’t pay $1 for either of them even. I suspect Apple is going to have a hard time maintaining the one price fits all strategy with the introduction of full-length films. Compare something like a L.O.T.R. film (over 3 hrs) to a short film, how can the pricing be justifiable?

Most titles on this list are whack. Unless you have kids or are a big fan of Disney, there isn’t a lot of great films in this initial offering. Although, $15 per Disney film would be a pretty good deal.

I think the announcement/confirmation of the quality of the films and the ability to record to DVD-R will also affect the consumer response to this new service. If consumers can only view the film on a limited number of computers, only on Apple devices, and cannot copy to optical media, many people will continue to opt for NetFlix and their local rental stores for viewing and stick to the discount stores and online retailers for purchases.

toy story 3 had production stopped when disney bought pixar, as disney had been making it themselves, now pixar are back in the fold it is likely to start over.
