Tzero Tech and Analog Devices Announce Wireless HDMI
by Raj Patel on September 5, 2006

Tzero Technologies and Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) have introduced wireless HDMI suitable for any devices with HDMI compatibility. Pretty good timing if you ask me, the demand for HD and HD accessories is climbing very quickly. So how does the interface work? According to Gizmodo, the HDMI interface compresses data using JPEG 2000, an image compression standard with nearly unnoticeable artifacts. Of course, it’s hard to say what “nearly unnoticeable” quality actually equates to, but we’ll find out soon enough won’t we? Tzero Technologies and Analog Devices Inc. have stated that the product will be out in November. No pricing available yet, stay tuned.
