Vista Offers Audio Upgrade

Finally, some good news coming out of Vista-world. It seems that Vista will have quite a few high-end audio features including volume equalization and speaker tuning.

For example, Vista will support microphone arrays for better speech recognition and will also add Bass Boost and surround-sound simulation for laptop users. Most of these functions were once offloaded to hardware or run by third-party drivers. It’s interesting to see they’ll be embedded in Vista now.
