Friends of ours used a product similar to this with their HD projector and it looks magnificent. They have an 8' x 4' rectangle painted on their wall in light gray for contrast and surrounded by a darker gray border (regular paint) for style.

If I'm not mistaken, it cost them $200-300 for one gallon, which seems pretty damn pricey, but then I'm not sure on the cost of a screen alone as theirs came with the projector. It's rolled up in their storage room.

Nothing beats playing Dance Dance Revolution in front of a wall! :/

Big projector screens are very expensive. I'm tempted to buy something like this, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experiences with it. Specifically, I'm wondering:
- Does it actually visibly improve the picture?
- During "normal use" of the room, do you notice a difference between a painted wall and a normal wall? I don't own the apartment I live in, and I don't want to pay for re-painting the walls if I move out.

Paint does have an advantage in that alot of roll screens are not flat when they are hanging and can show roller indentations. Also one can take a screen with you if you shift. Where decor is important a white wall may be totally unsuitable.

However what neither allow is what our screens are capable of delivering in a highly lit, yes even daylight pouring in the window is a perfect picture from standard projectors. ICE Digital Daytime projection screens will leave you thinking why on earth would I use a matt white screen or painted wall. Both of which throw away p[rojector brightness and image resolution.
