Greetings everyone, I wanted to let you all know that we’re rounding the last bend into the final stretch of our Race to 2000 comments. We’re currently at 1800 and moving quickly. I think you all can go faster though. Let’s see how fast we can get those final 200.

Very quick jump over the weekend. I was thinking (with really no calculation at all) that the 2000th comment would be somewhere around Thursday or Friday. Looks like it’ll be today or tomorrow tho. Good luck everyone, who said blind dumb luck never pays off.
My question is: Do trackbacks count as comments?
I would think that they should, no?
I think that would be quite unfair that trackbacks count as comments, since not everybody has got a blog. Besides trackback can sometimes be filtered or not work very well.

Well … are we above 1900 yet?? Great contest. Great idea. The comments have really exploded. And many are well thought out comments (though not all). Keep up the good work.
Doesn’t look like it is over 1900 but hey I guess we will have to wait for the update.
