Well, not exactly.  My mother used something very much like this when I was a kid; it was called a &quot;Snug Sack.&quot;  I&#039;m 38 years old, so we&#039;re going back about 30 years... This means the Slanket is the &quot;ripoff,&quot; not anything that comes out from here on.  Don&#039;t get me wrong--it IS a great idea, but it&#039;s not THEIR idea.  

$55 is pretty steep, too.  I&#039;d pay that if it were an electric blanket, but...
