It's not free at all. In fact, you pay for the mobile software, and then they make you pay for uploading your data to their site. Sorry, you get the first 10 uploads free. You're paying after that.

I would have bought the software in a second if I could have unlimited uploads. I'll gladly purchase their software, but I'm not going to pay a licensing fee for the use of their site.

The software looks really nice but their fees render it dead which may be the reason their userbase looks low.

Free up the website and you're guaranteed to get more business.

[...] If you have a mobile phone, GPS - either built in or as an extra unit) and want to monitor you exercise activity then SportsDO via Crunchgear might be the solution for you. The Java based app tells you how far you have run, calories burnt, how fast you ran and how long it took. You get a free download limited to 1k but then you have to buy the app. I couldn’t see how much it cost on their web site but this looks like an interesting way to monitor your exercise levels.
Hey Ian, no trick here.

We make it perfectly clear that the demo is restricted to 1km which is enough for you to establish it works on your phone, your GPS and the software has the features you require.

Live tracking is also completely free since we dont restrict that functionality.

Hope this clears things up.

This is not free at all. They are only offering a demo and that is only good for tracking 1km of a journey - not much use to most runners and hardly worth bothering with for a cyclist.
Why do developers insist on trying to trick us with these so-called "free" lite versions?
