I’m a little confused about the “doubling the price” statement as the first Sony Vaio UMPC (Origami) was launched with a retail of $1800 too. However, it is probably double the price of other UMPC manufacturers like Samsung.
It seems like this launch follows the Apple product strategy to increase storage, memory, etc. and maintain the product’s premium pricing in the marketplace.
