This phone is a piece of crap. I bought it as an upgrade form an lg-5200. wish i would have never gotten rid of my old phone. And if anyone thinks veri-satan-zon is not gonna cripple a phone so that the consumer can save acouple of bucks with their own ringtones, your way wrong. I am also extremely dissatisfied with the huge amount of lag in this phone. I have experienced up to a six second delay from the time you push a menu button until a response. Verizon said i need to clear my messages because they were causing the problem. I hardly think that 30 messages should slow a phone down that much. Also during normal use there is at least a second or more delay. In my opinion this phone is a piece of crap- Go buy an LG and save your money and frustration.

I’ve also been experimenting with datapilot. I can transfer midi and mp3 files to the phone, they show up in the list of ringtones and I can even play them from the list. But the phone won’t let me choose these imported tones as my actual ringtone. Any ideas?

i’ve found a solution that worked. verizon locked these features. i’ve found a program called susteen datapilot. it works, it took a few tries to figure it out but with a little reading from their site, i finally got it to work. you also need a program called mptrim to cut down the mp3 to around 30 seconds. datapilot you must purchase from them but mptrim is freeware. the other way to go is to do a seem editing on the phone, but you chance of bricking the phone and voiding warranty. good luck i hope this helps anyone. post any questions if it gets tricky , maybe i can help with process

i just got the krzr with verizon & all of my friends have been trying to send me ringtones and it wont work, whats wrong? am i doing something wrong, will it ever work?

Okay, the only reason why I like bluetooth is so I can get ringtones from my friends.. You said that they didn’t cripple it, but with tmp00’s comment, it looks like they did? Did they or didn’t they? I don’t care about the headset and stuff, just let me know it you can send ringtones back and forth, thanks ;)

the phone looks pretty good, but it seems kinda the same as the razr except for the buttons on top.

looks like Verizon still is kicking the bluetooth in the ribs:

*The KRZR K1m supports the following Bluetooth Profiles: Headset, Hands-free, Serial Port and Dial Up Networking, Object Push for vcard and image transfer only. It does not support all Bluetooth object transfer (OBEX) profiles.

Matt!! My savior is hear!! You are always giving me sh*t about being on Verizon and how their phones suck, especially since they always cripple the Bluetooth on their phones. But finally, a Verizon phone with working Bluetooth!!!!
