Dyson Airblade

The Airblade is a hand dryer developed by Dyson in the UK. It pumps out air at 400mph to completely dry hands in about 10 seconds.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have any added sanitation gain over the current, useless hand dryers. The existing dryers use warm air, which people say kill germs—but the air clearly isn’t hot enough to really kill much of anything. I was thinking that maybe this 400mph air field was enough to complete that task, but it apparently isn’t either.
At first this seemed like a pretty wonderful invention, but now I’m not so sure. I guess Purrell is still the champion of misophobes everywhere.

Give me a roll of brown paper anyday. Grab, rub, trash, done.

Yea I like those automated restrooms. Automatic faucets and paper. The problem is that most of them still have standard doors. The best are the ones with the angled entrances so you don’t have to touch anything. I wish more places were designed like that.

These types of dryers are standard in every washroom in Japan. Over my last 12 weeks of working there I didn’t see one of the useless USA style puffers. All seemed to be made by Mitsubishi. I figured I could make a killing becoming a rep for NA to replace the existing units with these air knives.

The idea to use Purell is a good one. It’s backed up by medical research. (i’m a blogging doc)

I think my hands would hurt too much after getting chafed in this device ;(

I used I device like this one, one year ago in japan. It took like a second to have dry hands. I really think a hand dryer with this kind of shape is really an improvment.
But I don’t really care for ‘air’ germs. Why do you wash your hand for ?

Dear Sirs,
Re our recent correspondence we would like to know if you can send some catalogues as we have a couple of Hotels interested in your products. We would like to have these sent urgently as one of the hotels are already contracting these dryers and require a substancial amount.
