Nintendo Wii Racing Wheel Video

Nintendo hasn’t given out too many details on the Wii racing wheel, but this video gives you all the basic information. The Wii racing wheel, which doesn’t have an official title yet, is more of a tray for your Wii remote. Like the video states, there isn’t any circuitry or new technology in the actual wheel. All you have to do is place your Wii remote in the crevice on the wheel and you are ready to race. Another cool fact was that when you buy Monster 4×4 World Circuit, you won’t have to buy the Wii wheel separately.

One of the problems I see with the wheel is that it’s not attached to anything. There are lots of racing game fans out there (including me), that like the feel of an arcade racing wheel that is attached to a solid mount of some kind. Another problem is the strain it could cause on your arms, which was something we had actually mentioned before, during the first sightings of the wheel. If you’re actually holding the wheel up like an actual racing wheel (and not a buss driver), you’re going to start straining your hands a lot quicker than you would with a mounted wheel. There’s no release date on the wheel, but I’m excited to see all the different ways Nintendo will integrate it into the Wii.
