This sounds very interesting. A lot of people (including myself) have USB or built-in tuner cards for their PC/laptops, but the problem is that none of these cards work with HDTV cable cards at this point (I think ATI released the first card that has a cable card slot, but Microsoft isn’t supporting it until end of next year I think), limiting the recording abilities to over-the-air HDTV. Now with that device could it be possible to record HDTV off of my cable set-top box using MediaCenter (or even better MediaPortal)?
good post. i feel that the new hava pro hd is way better than the slingbox however because it allows for multiple users to log on and watch tv and it is completely wireless and it supports double the resolution.
