Philips Shows Off New Concepts

Philips has been holding its annual concepts show this week at the ExCel Centre in London and there are a few things that came out of it that are really, really cool. There is a health monitor that sits in your bathroom and records your weight, body fat ratio, hydration levels, and body shape measurements. There are touch-sensitive light and sound adjusters that look like giant, glowing candy bars. My favorite is the pictured light-emitting ‘pen.’ Your kid can use it to write anywhere, and a program can be installed to then animate this art. I doubt we’ll see most of these ideas any time soon, though some of them (such as the Philips’ Ambilight TV) are available now. Follow this link for the whole rundown.
