Nokia is showing off a new concept phone called the Aeon. The phone will feature a glossy touchscreen surface. It is somewhat similar to that Synaptics phone we reported on back in August. No details on specs at this point.

I definitely prefere the Synaptics model. I think that the thinner handsets become, the more unusable/ergonomic they are. A good example is the RAZR. I know dozens of people with one and not one wants to keep it because its difficult to hold, can’t rest on your shoulder w/o dropping, breaks easily on dropping, and the keypads are difficult to use.

The Samsung A900/M is a similar in design to the razr, but far better in application. If you’re looking for something in that class of phone, I definitely recommend it. It’s probably my favorite cell on the market right now.
