Glow Gaming’s GottaGlow
by Raj Patel on October 10, 2006

Glow Gaming, from Canada, is a company that manufacturers controllers that glow in the dark. The controllers, from a line named GottaGlow, feature glowing bits on all parts of the controller except the analog stick. They require a bit of light before they can glow, but Glow Gaming says that the time it takes to load a game will power the controller for a solid half hour. The controllers also feature a longer chord, a “soft touch” feel and acceptable durability. Although the controllers are only available for Playstation 2, Gamecube and Xbox, the company has noted that they will have controllers released later for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3.

I’m not quite sure why someone would actually want a controller that glows in the dark, maybe they took the vampirism aspect of Oblivion a little too seriously. Or maybe there’s something going on with the Sun that we don’t know about. Either way the $20 controllers are cheap, but not cheap enough.
