You can make that ringtone on your Dash.
Select Start…Go to Accessories…Select Voice Recorder…Select Record…Select Menu….Select Set as Ringtone.

BTW If you have a good sound system and record whatever part of a song you want as a ring tone you can set those up also!
VERY IMPORTANT: You definitely want to play before you set at a ring tone for quality as the dash has a super sensitive microphone and if you too close it does not sound good I found about 4 to 5 inches at moderate levels works best for speakers and 1 to 2 inches for voice.

Hope this help took me forever to figure it out no thanks to the useless book that is a “manual”.

The t-mobile dash is the worst phone I have ever owned. It’s the only phone I’ve come across that not only freezes every couple days, but also takes up to 20sec to end a call (it just stays connected). This shitty phone and T-Mobiles shitty support, I’m getting an iphone in June when they release the 3G and moving to ATT.

HELP!
when i hook up the usb cord connecting the DASH to my computer it doesnt show up and i am unable to put songs and stuff on it…what should i do??

Yep…u can. I did it just today. You have to plus in your USB and sync with Windows Media Player then send the music clips to your ringtones folder

The biggest problem i have with the dash is the home screen, I change it and it goes right back to the first one after a restart. any suggestions would be very helpful.

i have the t-mobile Dash.. and so far i like it i dont ave any problems whit it the only thing is the volume strip.. is not hard to use you only need to know how to work it … if this help i will tel you how to set up the setting on the volume. 1 tep: go t start, then go down to settings, then go to more. after go to more one more time.. there you will se option number 4 wich is (volume strip settengs) click on it there you will have a couple of options. 1:restore default settings 2:Enable volume touch strip 3:Applies to this will give you the option of setting it up to (in call volume only, System and in call volume.) 4:Activation speed (very slow, slow, Normal, fast, very fast.) 5:Sensitivity/ tap speedv(very slow, slow, normal, fast, very fast.) hope this will help you with the problem on the t-mobile dash it work’s for me it depends on how you set it up one thing you can do is before changein the setting make sure you have your volume all the way up this way you dont have to worry about it later on.. if you want to to change the settings later on then do step’s i gave you above… well hope you enjoy your T-mobile Dash….

So has no one been able to figure out how to see if you have voicemails besides turning the phone on and off or constantly just dialing the voicemail number to see if someone’s left a message??? Thanks.

Also, for the person awhile back who was concerned about not being able to do notes, I just converted all of my notes on my computer to tasks and sync’ed them that way…might be an option?

T-Mobile’s Customer Care and it’s army idiots selling the phones are a real challenge. Nevertheless, I like the Dash and I plan to use it for at least a year. It was just a $150/2 year contract with upgrade after a year.
