Thanks to some excellent backdoor maneuvering by our crack ad team, we’ve lined up some excellent sponsors, including SoonR, an Ajax-tastic mobile desktop system that gives you full access to your Outlook email and desktop from any phone browser.
So that means we’re on for tomorrow at 7pm. Here’s a post re-cap.
Join us for our first reader meet-up! The event will coincide with Digital Life in New York and we’re planning giveaways, an open bar, and the chance to meet and kiss CrunchGear editors John, Blake, and Josh.
When?
October 13, 2006 – 7pm
Where?
Under the Volcano

MollyGuard to reserve a spot. We’d like to get a headcount before we make all the final confirmations, so please respond ASAP.
If you’d like to sponsor the event, please drop Jeanne, our sponsorship mistress, a line. We’d love to have some exhibitors at the event, so if you’d like to show off your wares to a group of cool CrunchGear fans, the more the merrier.
UPDATE Join our Jyngle group for updates and secret news.
UPDATE We’re moving it to the Friday the 13th, after work. Makes it scarier!

i’d like to be there.. but the city search map listed the total distance from my house in Culver City California to the event at 2795.4 miles… I really liked when the directons told me to take I-15 N toward BARSTOW. Keep RIGHT to take I-40 E toward LAS VEGAS (Passing through ARIZONA, NEW MEXICO, and TEXAS, then crossing into OKLAHOMA). 1202.2 miles. 1202 miles on one road! .. thank god for cruise control…
come on. if you start driving now you’ll make it by the party.
Actually, you’re driving quite a bit more than 1202mi on I-40 – it goes from CA to TN or so for a route to NY (I’ve driven it twice).
