I just recently bought a creative Vision M that lets me record from FM radio (not that I'd bother, I can use Napster for most songs). It sounds like Apple is tattling on its listeners when they reconnect to an online source that some piece of music is there illegitimately and the owner had better pay up.

And people wonder why the RIAA is hated.

This patent request seems odd considering earlier this week Creative announced the removal of radio recording features from future products to avoid a lawsuit with the RIAA. What's the difference here?
