[...] If you own a PSP, you’ll finally have a use for the failing portable device. As I mentioned earlier, PlayStation 3 will feature PSP support via WiFi, letting you access downloaded content on your PS3 with your PSP. Gamer’s Day in San Francisco showed a little preview of what we could expect: The PS3 console had the trailer for the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale, already downloaded onto its hard drive. The PSP was able to connect wirelessly to the console, download the trailer to its own storage. [...]

Saturn and 3DO didn't have the third party support either. EA already has 30 games planned, and that's just one company.

As for the HD cable (HDMI) sadly no, it will not be included. Don't bother with Monster cable. You can get a decent cable of the same quality for 60-80 dollars (or you can hit up the online auctions and score one for under 10 if you're dedicated).

Now if only I had a preorder...BAH!

PSP hooking up wirelessly to the PS3's HDD, cool for a while I guess (although I haven't even touched my PSP for a few months). The black and "shiny" surface of the PSP is back, definetly not cool. Not so much worried about the fingerprints as its a console and not a handheld but the dust floating around in my house, collects on everything and the PS3 black shiny surface is going to be a dust magnet. Looks like I will be cleaning the system every other day. Integrated Power supply along with a 9 core processor, great as long as the system doesn't overheat. The fact that many of the PS3's overheating at this years TGS doesn't comfort this fear. Ballad of Ricky Bobby included is great! MUCH better than the ancient and boring King Kong title included with the 360's HD DVD player. 15,000 Kiosks is great, gives me a chance to check out the controller for myself to not only see if it feels too light but see if the left and right triggers are really placed as poorly on the controller as everyone says. Also while SIXAXIS is cool (even if it is a weak attempt at trying to steal some of Ninty's controller innovation) I would always take the rumble feature over a tilt feature any day of the week as I play a lot of FPS titles.

Been unable to find a for sure answer of these issues though, please help!
1. The PS3 does not come with an HD cable and must be purchased seperately? If so, that's probably another $100!
2. Does the PS3 online service require you to have a zillion different identities and passwords just like the PS2 online service did?

It is going to be interesting to see if Sony is going to pull off selling their system at such a high price point, although considering all the hardware it is a decent price (that's "IF" I wanted all that hardware to begin with but personally I just want to play some high end games, screw movies and internet browsing). The 3DO and Saturn folded rather quickly trying to sell their systems for similar prices, however neither company had the huge following that Sony enjoys.
