Nintendo Wii Unboxed

Mexican gaming magazine Atomix got its hands on a Nintendo Wii system to test out and is is trying to make us jealous about not having one ourselves by releasing pictures of the Nintendo Wii box, the console and all of the peripherals. The Nintendo Wii itself looks good, but I don’t know about that grey brick on the bottom, it seems to take away from the sleek look of the console.

I say on this this Tech Life blog that the Wii controller can simulate actions like swinging a golf club. Is that true? How accurate is it?

The “grey brick” is the console’s stand which you can remove.
And Bill, have you been living under a rock for the last year? :-D
Yes, it’s true. And it seems to be *very* accurate. The Wii measures the controller’s position and orientation in space, not only its movement.
