Now that we’ve seen the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 in action, it’s time to take a look at what these consoles will actually offer owners on launch day. We know that in the future we’ll have Metal Gear Solid 4 for PlayStation 3, and that Nintendo Wii will have the new Metriod, but that doesn’t really help us when the consoles are 2 weeks away from launch and we can’t make a decision on which one to buy. For each console, there will be one big exclusive game available on launch day: PlayStation 3 will have Resistance: Fall of Man, Nintendo Wii will offer The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Xbox 360 will get in the ring with Epic’s Gears of War. Since hundreds of dollars (and time) are on the line, we’ve put in-game footage for the consoles’ big titles side-by-side, so we can see what we’ll actually be able to play once these consoles release.

  • Nintendo Wii
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

  • PlayStation 3
  • Resistance: Fall of Man

  • Xbox 360
  • Gears of War

Does the new Zelda trailer remind anyone of Okami?! There you have it, the big three. We’re not fans of any one console, but I have to say I’m more excited about the Nintendo Wii than anything else.

    • I am more fan of the wii too! the others are just same old “shootshootkill”–but I can’t wait to wave around my wiimote trying to kill those crows and toss that monster into the hole and..
      whee(wii?!)! XD

    • Playstation 3 all the way!
Just think the games will be on blu-ray disks so that means x-box260 and wii games are 3 times smaller, the Playstation 3 games are going to be intense!
Plus the xbox360 has had a year to show us whats its made of and its crap.
The nitendo wii, well i just laugh its terrible, yeah it will have some fun games but nothing as good as SONY!

    • >so that means x-box260 and wii
      >games are 3 times smaller

What do you mean by “games will be 3 times smaller”? What will be smaller? Playtime?

    • Sony is up to it’s same old tricks and BS! unless you are one of the rich and powerful few you won’t even get a choice to play the ps3. Not to mention that sony is the least inovative of the three. Nintendo has inovation in controll and with their 24/7 connect online service, microsoft has spearheaded the online inovation since live 1.0 and continues to do so. What does sony have? more polygons, wow! I think i’ll get the Wii and hit up the new zelda game like a crack pipe and still be able to pay the rent.
