Here we see the Wii in all her glory. I’m going to commit fanboyicide here, but the graphics were very muddy on these units, reminding me more of the original Playstation than a 2006 console. The gameplay, obviously, is the draw, but I’m withholding praise until i see some good launch titles.

I’m not sure if everyone watched the same movie I did, but the graphics didn’t look that bad for a camcorder over youtube production. And sure they’re asking a lot of money for it, but they’re not asking as much as Microsoft or Sony.
how can u say the graphics are playstation1 graphics!!!! they look prety gd there and remember the camera quailty aint great so that will effect how they look on the video and also they werent finsihed games so the graphics will be better than that

i dont understand what you mean by saying the wii is expensive? its £179.99 that for a new console is dirt cheap, considering the technology gone into the controller. and to the person who said it was like a pson have you actually played a psone because if you have you will know that mgs was one of the best looking games on the console. and play that game nowadays and you can tell just how badly it has aged

Have you seen the graphics of Red Steel? They are gorgeous. I would rather have the graphics Wii presents anyway, and have a quieter, more efficient console with far, far shorter loading times.
Your saying the graphics are the same as The PS1’s? You need to get some medication pal, as they are better then Gamecubes. The guy was smiling when he was playing, how often do you see people smiling whilst gaming nowadays? Rarely. The Price isn’t high either. It is lower than Gamecube’s launch price was going to be, and it plays gamecube games, SNES,NES,TurboGrafx,Sega Megadrive and N64 Games. I might of bought the console for those things alone. An NES cost around £100 now anyway.
i think the person who did the review is obviously not a gamer he is expecting the graphics to be like a film and even then it probilly wouldnt please him at least there are lots more reviews that have the right information and say how good it is
Sorry but your so stupid sure the graphics don’t compare to 360 and ps3 but there still good i mean look at zelda and mario galaxy they look awsome and btw the wii is at leat more powerful than the original xbox and in no way can you compare the graphics to the original playstation.
I’m not going to judge the wii untill i’ve actually played one. but the wii looks like it’s part of the gameplay generation. and i’ve heard nothing but good reviews about twilight princess, a launch title. but, like i said… i’m gonna keep my lips sealed untill i play one.
I’ve been a fanboy of Nintendo since the beginning…even playing their games on my trusty Colecovision.
Wii is just what I want. A new console that plays old games and at a decent price. Plus, Nintendo drops their prices quicker than Sony/MS. You can get a GC for $80 new these days while a PS2 costs $130. Plus, the games are BETTER. Who cares if MS/Sony look a little prettier. 95% of people are still playing on 24″ composite TVs anyway.
