From kids on rooftops to creepy looking babies, Sony’s engraved new odd images into our minds. The new European Sony PlayStation 3 ad takes you into an indoor environment—an exploding indoor environment, that is. I’m not sure why the old lady is so happy, maybe she’s like the director of these ads—freakin’ insane. And what’s with the random animals, is PlayStation 3 on safari or something? Please enlighten us me on your ad campaign strategy Sony, we need some help.
Edit: Sigh. I’m going to go ahead and break with Raj here and say that this ad makes perfect sense. He’s not too bright, but we love him anyway. - Blake

maybe this ad is trying to tell us that, the explosions and action sequences played with the PS3 will be real as HELL!. and those animals are rendered, probably showing the amazing HD capability….GO SONY!

The commercials, while effective in eliciting response are still obscure and meaningless. There’s a message hidden in there, but like a lot of other potential customers I don’t have the time or bandwidth to decipher Sony’s marketing drivel.

#@*%#@? I don’t know what Sony is thinking but I’m pretty sure this decision had to do with their PS3 pricing also. Good luck Sony.

I don’t get the commercial, but i can tell you that the animals are from some game called afrika (ign page here: http://ps3.ign.com/objects/826/826943.html), which nobody seems to know anything about, either.
