Fujitsu has announced it will be releasing two new extremely portable tablet PCs to the LifeBook line: The T4215 (on the right) and the P1610. The LifeBook P1610 is 1.4-inches thick and features a 1.2GHz Core Solo U1400 processor, a WXGA resolution display, 512MB of RAM, 30GB hard drive and 802.11a/b/g WiFi.
To make it look and feel more like a James Bond device, the P1610 also features a fingerprint sensor and an 8.9-inch display. Too bad the P1610 doesn’t last for long, Engadget reports that the tablet’s battery only lasts for 3.5 hours, though you can upgrade to a better battery (which lasts for 7 hours) for $45. Of course with a price tag of $1649 (stock price), you’d think Fujitsu would provide its customers with a better battery.
The LifeBook T4215 features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a DVD/CD-RW drive, a card reader, 512MB of RAM, 40GB hard drive and a 12.1-inch XGA display. The T4215 is a bit more expensive, running at $1799.
Personally, I like the P1610. Though it’s sporting a slower processor, it’s smaller, cheaper and better looking in general.
