Gateway Announces 22-Inch And 24-Inch HD Widescreen LCD
by Raj Patel on November 8, 2006

Gateway has announced that it will be releasing new 22-inch and 24-inch HD widescreen LCDs for all your viewing pleasure. The new 24-inch LCD features DCDi video processing technology, 1080p support, 1920×1200 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 6ms refresh rate and new, touch-sensitive controls for adjusting the display. The touch-sensitive feature, labeled by Gateway as EzTouch, will feature back-lit buttons that are invisible until touched. Connection wise, the new LCD will feature composite, S-Video, VGA and two component inputs.

You’ll also find a four-port USB 2.0 hub on the LCD that’ll come in handy when you run out of USB 2.0 inputs on your tower and/or keyboard. The LCD will also feature a much needed height-adjustable stand, which many LCDs out there don’t include. The new LCD goes on sale tomorrow, and you’ll find it to be fairly priced at $679.99. The 22-inch HD widescreen LCD will include all of the same features as the 24-inch, with only a few exceptions: The 22-inch LCD will have a max resolution of 1680×1050, a 700:1 contrast ratio and one component input. Also fairly priced, the 22-inch LCD will go for $399.99.
