TrackStick Pro: GPS Snoop/Tracker
by John Biggs on November 8, 2006

Here’s a great way for pizza shop managers to make sure their young delivery boys are smoking the doobage on the job. The TrackStick is a mountable GPS device that records location as well as temperature at intervals as long as 60 minutes. The oldest history gets pushed out by newer data. You can then place the device in a cradle and create a Google Earth overlay of that device’s particular route. Great for keeping your drivers honest and being a petty micromanager with a piece of flint for a heart.

The devices can either connect to a cigarette lighter or be discretely wired to the car’s electrical system. There’s also a power failure alarm and grommets for attaching tamper-resistant tape. No pricing, but expect these to be a few hundred per, depending on your fleet size.
