Nintendo Wii Systems Ready To Go

If you didn’t get a chance to preorder a Nintendo Wii, now there’s a solution: Go to Nintendo’s North Bend facility (in Washington, I believe) and raid the damn place. It seems as though this “secret” facility has Wii systems ready to go, as well copies of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. If you do manage to get into the facility, simply ignore the green label that reads “DO NOT SHIP BEFORE 11/19/06,” because you’re not shipping – you’re picking it up! Hit the jump for more pics from our friends at Gizmodo, who apparently love fisheye lenses.

  • Actually, the stickers say “Do not sell before 11/19/06″ so when they’re received by retailers they will be held back appropriately. In my experience working inventory for an electronics retailer, anything without a release date sticker like those will end up being put out on the floor soon after receipt by one of the many possible handlers of the items. Similar stickers are standard for everything received that has a hard release date, including movies and CDs, and anything sold before a hard release date results in a hefty fine for every unit sold (sometimes as much as $25,000 per unit.)

Your point still stands, though, you’re not selling them, you’re picking them up! Grab one for me while you’re there!

  • I can’t wait to play with my Wii
