Matt, I’m thinking it doesn’t run Windows Mobile Smartphone Edition; looks like Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, a subtle but key difference. Smartphone edition of WM doesn’t use or support a touchscreen, but based on the screenshots it sure looks like a touchscreen would be needed for the interface. Additionally, there’s a pic of the device showing the pop-out stylus….Smartphone edition doesn’t need a stylus because it’s sans touchscreen. Still, a very cool device with great connectivity….if you’re in Korea. ;)

WiMax/WiBro is still based on cells, BTW.

Kevin: you’re right, I hadn’t noticed the touchscreen aspect. I saw the TV antenna and thought it might be two photos of it. So, you’re right: it’d be Windows Mobile 5: Phone Edition, and it’s actually a big difference. Nice eye.

Field of Dreams: Once the network has been built, then they will come!
We’re simply waiting for the network to be built…as you know Sprint Nextel has already announced that that they will use Samsung as one of their Infra partners for their NGN network.
Don’t worry, you will someday see cool Mobile WiMAX devices in the US.
