Light Up Plexiglass (Not Available On Riot Shields)
by Vince Veneziani on November 13, 2006

This is a simple, yet brilliantly creative idea. Take one part plexiglass, etch a drawing in it with a soldering iron or really sharp knife, and insert an LED. Boom. You got yourself an instant sign. By drilling a hole in the end of the plexiglass, you can stick a high-performance LED in the end and power it with whatever you want (in this case, some batteries will do). This lights up your little sign and gives off a nice neon-esque glow from the plexiglass. It shouldn’t break your bank either. The total cost of parts can run under $10 if you shop smartly.
