Hon Hai Making Up A Batch Of iPhones
by Vince Veneziani on November 15, 2006

Apple is going to be pissed off when it finds out that Taiwanese manufacturer Hon Hai let it slip that they scored a contract with Apple to manufacture 12 million mobile handsets that can play music. Hmmm, sounds a lot like an iPhone to me. Hon Hai is also the supposed manufacturer of Apple’s upcoming 15-inch MacBook. So when can we expect a OS X-laden handset to be released to the masses? The target date for release is sometime in mid-2007. So yes, details are sketchy and everything, but if you were wetting your pants for an Apple cellphone, you’re in for a treat unless they somehow screw it up.
