As DRM’d and flawed as the Microsoft Zune is, the Wi-Fi song sharing ability it possesses is a cool feature, no doubt. But to up the ante a bit and make the Zune more appealing, Microsoft wants to reward users for sharing music with each other. Somewhat confirmed after J Allard spoke in Seattle this past weekend, the new feature will give Zune owners who share music points that can be used on either your Xbox 360 or Zune Marketplace. Rewards are cool and all, but what’s to prevent me from buying two Zunes and just sharing endlessly between them for free points? We’ll have to wait and see how this works.

You can share them forever. But you don’t get any points until someone buys the song….
