Siemens Goes for Eight

Not much is known about this display from Siemens other than the fact that it uses eight LCDs. That and the fact that I absolutely must have it. So if anyone from Siemens is reading along, go ahead and have it delivered. You know where to find me.

  • Since you can see the seams between the displays, I’d guess the display is made of relatively normal “no edge” LCD displays. Samsung has something similar. They’re basically stackable units with no bevel around the edge of the screen, and then a controller unit that splits the video signal up into a grid and feed the appropriate part of the grid to each display.

    This approach is used a lot in digital signage for tradeshows etc.

  • Do you think whomever coined the word megapixel had that in mind
