I’ve seen the demographics and I know CrunchGear readers are a class bunch. So when I saw this Pewter Wine Aerator, I immediately thought of you all.
Just put the aerator into the mouth of your favorite decanter and pour. It is designed to cut decanting time by causing the wine to cascade over its body. The model shown is called the Octopus, but it also comes in Puffer Fish and Sea Horse.
You can purchase it from Wine Enthusiast for $29.95.

Wouldn’t one get lead poisoning from drinking fluids passed over this?
Looks cool though.
No! Pewter has been lead free in the US since the 1930’s. It’s not a bad idea to find out from the manufacturer what alloy they use but I can tell you that our’s (Danforth Pewter made in Vermont)is 91% tin / 7% copper / 2% antimony. We don’t make aerators but we do make wine goblets, tumblers, tankards and baby cups – all 100% lead free!
Oh I’m retarded. Forgot to mention: It’s made of pewter.
deSign Wine Aerator
I like the idea of using some type of element to present your wines. If your ever interested in a wine aerator checkout our site at: http://www.finewinetoys.com
deSign Wine Aerator is a practical alternative to the traditional method of decanting wine, it allows the taste to be enhanced immediately before the wine is to be enjoyed. It also allows you the flexibility to aerate an entire bottle or simply one glass.
