Well, it should be easy for that company to sell TiVo in Mexico City since Cablevision is the only cable provider. The other providers in the country, namely Megacable, Telecable and TV Cable have been offering Motorola's DVRs AND high def programming for over a year. Cablevision has also, but without the TiVo branding. About prices, it doesn't come cheap, $850 USD upfront for the DVR plus deluxe monthly programming if you want the HD channels.

Alex,

The TiVo service has been available in Canada for over a year now, and there are resellers in Canada as well as US resellers who ship there.

Nice! Not that I'd use it considering I'm up in the mountains of Colorado and I've had DVR for some time, but I'm glad the TiVo love is spreading. Now, at least, my friends from Mexico will understand why I'm so addicted to skipping commercials!
