not mindblowing, but different, such controls have never graced console gaming.

my complaint is taht this site decides to put out a headline that says DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.. which is fine, they like you, are entitled to your opinions.. but it wasnt even their opinions.. it was kotakus..

oh, and if it takes you forever to point the wiimote at the other end of the screen.. i think theres something wrong with your hand-eye coordination,

all i know is that its not as bad as youre making it out to be.

Mr.Mike_L,

I've got to disagree with you on that. Red Steel is VERY clunky and needs tons of refinement. The game feels extremely rushed, and totally disrupts Nintendo Wiis "Intuitive controls" that most Wii launch games have. My friends and I gave the game a shot on launch day and played through the first few hours and by the end, we were completely over the game. And you can't really bring the PS3 into the question...

If you want to compare launch games, than compare the only one on the PS3 similar to Red Steel - Resistance. And though Resistance doesn't have innovative controls, it's a well put together FPS.

Speaking of innovation, turning the Wiimote into a computer mouse isn't really mind blowing. Especially when it takes forever just to point the gun in the opposite direction. The game feels rushed, and it probably was. The Wii is all about gameplay- it can't afford to have bad controls.

jesus.. did you guys even play the game?

*shrugs*... I say ignore all the reviews.... ACTUALLY play the game and make your own judgements.. I for one own the game and dont regret buying it. Its fun, and different. Which is WAY more than can be said for... *looks at the PS3 lineup* lets not go there.

Ill be the first to admit, red steel is kinda clunky and needs refinement, BUT, for a launch title for a new console, with an entirely new control scheme, its a damn good first outing.
