  • With that many fans, I fully expect it to hover 3″ off of the ground.

Case design is decent with a pseudo-industrial flair, but I’m not a fan of that weird-parallelogram side window. Do mesh or do window, do not do both in a weird configuration.

  • Whew, 31/36 lbs net/gross weight! Load that puppy up with fans and drives and you can forget a power supply and ups, you’ll need it hard wired into the grid with a gas powered generator as a backup. While it seems like a bit of overkill to me, Tim the Toolman approves…

  • drdrew: I’m waiting for the first case-modder to try to put those metal grab-handles on the top and call it a lan-party case.

None of the gamers I’ve played with could lug that thing around without a handtruck…

  • adi, ‘lan-party case’ - that’s funny :) . The hover idea is cool, I wonder if it could be modded this with a few rc hovercraft parts and make it work (come on Crunchguys you know you want to!)

True, my gamer friends are not in peak (or any) physical condition, but once when I called ‘paper-scissors-rock’ to settle a dispute I was confronted with a ‘thumb-wrestle’ challange…I knew I’d been had… :)

  • @drdrew…Yep, “More Power!” If I had that kind of a setup, all my neighbors would know when I fired up my system…similar to the scene in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation…

  • Server case sans air-conditioning?
