Coffee-Modding Wakes Up

by Matt Hickey on December 4, 2006

These types of undertakings are not for the faint of heart; these coffee makers are expensive, so skill is a must, as is know-how. If you’re serious about your coffee, though, it makes sense to take control and show Juan Valdez and his trusty donkey who’s the boss (Tony Danzy ftw btw).

  • There is absolutely nothing that can’t be enhanced by modding it with a NES controller, shuffles, belts, coffee makers…the wiimote

  • Agreed. In my Jetta I can adjust the mirrors with an NES controller, and I use a powerglove to shift gears.

Plus I can project Duck Hunt onto my windshield.

Talk about road rage, try having that damn dog laughing at you while you’re stuck in traffic.

  • I don’t get the NES controller part of it. can he control his brewer with it? Make his double dry cap hotter with the up button, maybe pause it half way through the first cup by pressing start, or make enough lattes for all his friends with the Konami code?

  • I work for the FAA, and I’ve made a system mod to land planes at Dulles using an NES controller. It works great!

  • Oh Swag, that’s pretty sweet.

As badass as I am at Captain Skyhawk, I could be running Dulles.
