a recent acquisition) is now posting three-minute clips of the shows, totaling up to most if not all of the entire show that aired. And it’s posting them the day after the episodes originally air. True, this isn’t nearly as convenient as paying for the entire episode from Apple’s iTunes Store, but hey, it’s free.
IFilm hasn’t been publicizing the availability of the clips, as it did the other shows it’s getting from Viacom such as “The Real World” and “Reno 911.”
AtomFilms, which was also recently acquired, relaunches today with three Web-only programs from Comedy Central’s Motherload network and is forming a similar relationship with the Spike network.

This is actually a nice compromise for users - I like having an organized list of the segments instead of the jumbled related links on Youtube. You do not get the wisdom-of-the-masses as much (i.e. Most Popular) as iFilm’s popularity pales next to YouTube’s, but for those looking to view the content and unwilling to plunk down the change for episodes in the iTMS.
Player in a separate window is annoying, but again, Free.
Overall, I like it.

The extra time it takes to download 8 or so show clips and then convert them to play on my iPod is well worth the few bucks to get a full episode in the right format. I guess I’m just a whole show kinda guy or I’m just sick of wasting time getting video on my iPod. Probably the latter. I’m a sucker for services that cater to the lazy.
