Xbox 360 Controller Mod

The Xbox 360 wireless controller may very well be the best gaming controller I’ve ever used. The analog sticks fall right under your thumbs, the right and left triggers feel like actual triggers and the vibration isn’t disabled. There’s really no reason to take the controller apart unless, you know, you couldn’t grip the controller with both of your hands. As it turns out, Heck wanted to do something different so he developed a controller for someone that was disabled.
Heck actually put the controller together so you would use the right analog stick (bottom of the controller) with your knee, and the triggers with your pointer and pinky fingers. The controller is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, and it doesn’t seem too hard to get used to, either. Check out more pictures after the jump.

Very cool. Similar idea and concept to something I did for a project here at Northwestern, trying to re-rig a gameboy for a boy without the use of their left hand to play. Very rewarding project.

that is a nice mod there it deffinently will bring more people to game if they are dissabled
im currently working on my 1st mod, seems the same to me as working on computer hard ware im repainting the case and probably going to redo all of the LEDS on the controller possibly add some more, maybe rig them into the rumbler to they light up with the rumbling of the controller

Nice. I’m Disabled, Quadriplegic, I’d Love to see a 360 controller with the Trigger buttons on the face right below the X,Y - A,B if Someone did that I’d probaly Shit a brick!!!!!!! I Hear this would be a pretty tough job - I Just wish X Box/Microsoft & Playstation/Sony would get off their asses & address Disability Game controller VIA Their inhouse special sales..
I’d love to see them sued over this & Don’t even know if it’s possible…..
