I don't know about anyone else, but the prospect of watching movies on a 3-inch screen just doesn't appeal to me. I think both Apple and Microsoft would have been smart packing real utilitarian functionality (phone, email, web) into their music players, rather than trying to force video into a place where it doesn't really belong (podcast may be the exception).
