I just recently got an Antec Nine Hundred and I was shocked as to how quiet it is considering it has four fans in it. As others have pointed out, hard drives in this case can be a bit noisy since there's not much to dampen the noise in the front of the case.

i've got his case, and even with the fan controllers all set to low, it generates a good amount of noise, much more so than your run-of-the-mill Dell/HP box.

If HDD noise is an issue for you as for me Larry, try zalman heatpipe silent hdd cooler (with those lovely rubbers to dampen and decouple hdd vibrations, instead of antec's default hdd cage (and obviously fix the front covers!!!!!).

Bye!

I've got it and it runs cool AND quiet, period. Yes, hardrive noise is an issue for me. Antec didn't seem to really care.

the not very quiet in the (-) area was probably in reference to the fact that the case has no silencing to dampen hard drive vibration and it has an open window so all the noise from the CPU and video card is going to come right out

those quotes about are talking about the just running by itself.
