Hmm, looks like the JAQ4 from I-Mate borrowed a few design tips from Samsung when creating this beast. IN addition to the smooth, metallic looks and a QWERTY keypad, the JAQ4 runs Windows Mobile 5.0, has a 2.8-inch touchscreen, WiFi, Bluetooth, miniSD, and GPS all built-in. As lovely as this masterpiece of a phone is, there’s no word yet on when it will be available or how much it will cost. Come sometime in Q1 of 2007 though, you may see it pop up in your market. I’d keep an eye out if I were you since this JAQ4 looks pretty sweet.

I still can’t believe that the Blackjack doesn’t have WiFi. I could still use one but it seems like a huge oversite to me.
As long as this is the same dimensions as the blackjack it seems to be a definite contender to the blackjack, touchscreen and wifi as mentioned above seem to put it ahead of the blackjack.
Wallosoup – Unfortunately monsters like Cingular don’t cater to the geeky. More like the technically challenged. I bet that phone will be picked up by T-Mobile if it’s every picked up.
Touchscreen is what’s missing from the Blackjack, do you need wifi if the broadband is fast enough?
Treo with the touchscreen gets you around emails and apps much faster, sometimes it’s just better to touch the screen..
Let’s hope for GSM unlocked on ebay soon…
Wow, what a featureset!
I really would like to see a phone like this, as Peter said, in a similar form factor to the Blackjack. I agree on the touchscreen (though I still, very much, would like a Blackjack). I find that it makes navigation on my ol’ Treo 650 very snappy and intuitive.
It looks like 2007 is going to have some cool phone stuff happening. The iPhone, Crossbow, and who knows what else…
I really need to find a place to work where I can play with these new toys all day. *hint* *hint*… need a new reviewer? anyone?
