LG Chocolate To Get Windows Mobile Treatment

Talk about coming out of left field. LG’s Chocolate phone has become the new “must have” phone for Verizon customers. It even released the Chocolate in holiday colors, and we all know that when you start re-releasing a phone in multiple colors: it’s officially trendy. But in a surprise move, LG is going to start manufacturing a Chocolate with Windows Mobile 5.0 on it.
Mobility Today reports that the phone will be called KC1 and is due out in Korea first. Features include WiMAX support, 2.8-inch touch screen, 2-megapixel camera (score!), and a miniSD slot. Though the phone is debuting in Korea, expect it to spread out into other mobile markets during 2007. No word yet on pricing.

Just a quick aside, I saw this same pic of this phone model the other day. And it instantly struck as a turn-off because its glossy exterior seems to pick up so many fingerprints and smudges. Maybe its just the camera lighting, but it looks rather filthy.

web - those things get filthy indeed. my friend has a chocholate and is always having to wipe the screen. My friend is pretty clean. It seems like the screens on most phones attract dirt. Even flip phones are vulnerble because the keys usually rest against the screen. I guess it depends if you keep your phone in your pocket or a holster.

I have to agree that the shiny plastic does seem to get covered with fingerprints.
My colleague complains to no end about her Chocolat cos when she tries to clean off the smudges she activates the touch buttons. :)

I have the chocolate and have no issues with smudges, though this phone seems to be a bit to shiny. I’m sure you could give it a quick brush on your shirt/leg and the smudges will come out.

i also got a chocolate and its fine..a tieesue will be fine to clean it:)
