Brando Adds USB, SD to Car FM Transmitter for MP3s

Like a USB port, so that you can use a standard USB flash drive to store your songs. That’s cool. Or it’ll work with your player’s docking port as the source.
And if you don’t even have an MP3 player, or just don’t feel like taking it off of your hat, you can stick a standard SD card full of songs into the slot on the bottom and hit play on the included controls.
This device offers more ways to input digital audio than you’ll need, but that’s good. We’re hoping Brando can come up with a hardwired version, as there aren’t enough clear channels in the city we live in to make this wonderful device worthwhile. But if your locale is fairly clear on the FM front, this is a winner.

For $55 that’s a pretty good deal. I agree, hardwire would be ideal. They should make a home version as well that plugs into a wall socket for the non-media-center crowd. I bet you could also use this for surround sound in your car to watch movies on your lappy too. No matter who’s car you take on a road trip everyone will be able to watch and hear a movie. Except the driver of course. They’ll just have to listen.

Pretty good idea… this basically turns any car into one that can play back mp3’s, all you do is load songs onto an SD Card.

I’ve been using a similar MP3 FM transmitter from VR3 for about a year now. Not only does the FM transmitter totally rock on (No static! None! I couldn’t believe it!) the VR3 VRFM9 has the full FM dial 87.whatever to 103.whatever to transmit on vs the 15 stations supported by the Brando.

Bought VR3 VRFM9 a week ago for about $50 then enjoyed a few days of listening mp3’s in my car. Suddenly, a couple of days ago, the device couldn’t able to hook to any FM freq. It frustrating!!! I phoned their support center and all they can say is to return to seller! Make sure you will still have your receipt and package if you buy this, just in case. Got to go to walmart to return this junk!
