HSDPA service to its Compaq nc6400 notebook. Today, Panasonic announced the direct selling and activation of Verizon Wireless’ 3G Wireless Broadband service on its durable Panasonic Toughbooks.

What does this mean for you? Buy a ToughBook and you won’t need to work at a HotSpot anymore. You’ll be able to get broadband speeds anywhere you can access Verizon’s high-speed 3G network. And with it already loaded to buy through Panasonic, you don’t even need to take the extra step of going to Verizon to activate it.

Back in October, Panasonic announced the CF-19 convertible tablet PC and the CF-30 laptop would feature optional radios for next-generation wireless data networks from all major cellular wireless carriers.
