That monstrosity looks so big, I feel like it would break my USB port. An usb cord system might have been a better idea.
Wait what am I talking about, the whole thing is a bad idea. How hard is it to find a wall outlet. Who would really need to charge their razor (not the phone) via a computer.
USB charging devices are actually quite useful to travelers. Instead of carrying around a dozen different power bricks, you just charge everything via USB. My phone (a BlackBerry) and my headset (from Jabra) both charge via USB and it’s a lifesaver on the road.
I’m not sure I’d want every device I carry to be USB-compatible, though. I’d rather not buy a lot of inferior devices just because they have USB ports. It’s much better in my eyes to allow any device to be charged by USB. A USB to 110v converter would be wonderful, but probably impractical. It would put a huge draw on the system.
@Brooke: Yep. My phone and headset are often charged together through an unpowered hub. But they’re low-draw sort of devices. I’m guessing there’s some sort of regulator on your USB port that would keep you from drawing too much power through it. I know of some power-hungry devices that only work with a powered USB hub, for instance.

At least with an electric razor, you don’t need to worry about employees slitting their wrists at work due to Christmas stress. Smart thinking!

Why all the negative attitude towards this? This might actually get the guys in my office to shave once in a while.

They need to up their price to about $500,000. That way, at least they have a shot to make their development money back.

Has anyone tested out how well it shaves?
Odd idea, but perhaps useful for the traveler… or really hairy blogger…

Of course, a USB-powered missile launcher would be great to have. http://www.cyberguys.com/templates/searchdetail.asp?productID=13430

Curiously, can you efficiently charge multiple devices simultaneously with a USB hub? I’d think so but I wonder about the stress to the PSU.
As for this razor - it’s the perfect stocking stuffer for the MMORPG poop-socker out there! ;)
